Bedford grammar school

Is their a grammar school in Bedford?
I keep searching for Bedford grammar school and do not get anything except for Bedford school which is anything but a grammar school with those fees.

No. Bedfordshire does not have grammar schools. It has a number of independent schools owned by the Harper Trust plus some other ones. It's state secondaries are comprehensives.

Ahh ok. its just someone told me their children went to Bedford Grammar so I was confused.

Bedford School (independent) is sometimes referred to as "The Grammar"

Bedford School used to be called Bedford Grammar School, it has always been a public school though.
Just to confuse things Bedford Modern School was a direct grant grammar until the seventies when Bedfordshire dropped grammar schools, it is now a co-ed private day school. Both (along with Bedford Girls School and a prep school) are run by the Harper Trust.
