Open Evenings

Just a quick question.

We'll be applying for a secondary school place for DD in the autumn, and I was wondering when open evenings for prospective students are usually held, will it be this year's summer term on the start of the autumn term?

In our area, the open evenings for state secondaries are in the first half of the Autumn Term.

First half of autumn term for us. We found it useful to find out if there were any summer "events" taking part at the schools we were interested in - summer fayres and the like. That way one can go along and get a bit of a feel for the place at a time when they are not officially "on show". We found this quite helpful.

whyayepetal excellent idea, I've bookmarked the websites of the school's we're interested in so i can keep an eye out for events.
