DD Y10 is doing Ancient History GCSE. They have an exam (?) when they get back after half term so next week (I don't understand how this all works). They don't have a basic textbook.

She has endless books about ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece, but we have nothing on the Celts. The question concerns how full an understanding of the importance of mythology was for a tribe (she's chosen the Britons) we can gain from the evidence.

Could someone please tell me a good book she can use? Unfortunately, our own stance at the moment is that we ourselves have no evidence of anything.

If we know what book/books tonight then we can get one at least tomorrow and she can start reading more than Wiki.

TIA

Does it have to be on that subject? Maybe burials or arts would be more engaging.

Yes, it is almost the exact question she has to write 2000 words on.

The first link looks good. Thanks. The second is what the myths are and she does at least know that!

Will look at the Larssen in a mo - got something on stove!
