What's the etiquette in declining independent school offers - email or write ?
Also is it acceptable to ask to see schools again for a make your mind up visit ? ( going to be tricky with half term next week )

Oh yes that's what I want to know too! I thought there might be a form to fill out if you were going to say no, but there's nothing. Do we write?

Most of them seem to suggest a time to come and look again in the offer letters. If they don't do that I'm sure you can ask - seems fairly standard practice.

The schools run tours for people who are undecided to go on, quite a few families are unsure each year.

I wrote very polite thank you letters declining places, stating how much we had liked a particular aspect of the school and that it had been a difficult decision. I saw these as insurance, you never know your first choice might turn out to be a mistake & I wanted to maintain a good relationship with all the schools.
