Does anyone know what's going on at Acland Burghley School?

I know they had an unfavourable Ofsted inspection, which didn't really take into account that they were inspecting the school in the first few days of the school year, which seems a bit daft.

All the parents seemed to be very supportive of the school, and felt the report was unfair, but now the headteacher has resigned.

What on earth is going on? This is one of our local secondaries, and we have a child in the upper stages of primary, so it's very unsettling. Does anyone have any insight?

I should have realised that the recent press ho-ha would have brought this thread to Mumsnets attention again. I bet Eton have a School Unicorn...

Thanks for responding and glad to hear your daughter loves it there. I would be interested to hear if she has brothers at the school, so is following in their footsteps, or if it was a first choice and the local girls schools were never an option.

Frogs, what did you decide, or don't you know yet- I am confused about the Secondary Admissions timescale.

We went for PHS and are very happy.

The School is alright,Some of the Teachers are Rude though
To be Honest,Some fights Happen somedays but its not too bad
I might move out the School though
I Hate the Staff, I mean the Ones that go on Duty outside
