Hello,

Appreciate if anyone can share any knowledge, or experiences, of the BSN.

Thanks!

The junior school was fantastic. I've heard some very bad reviews of the senior school and know lots of families that left The Hague to return to their base country or chose to put their kids into boarding school rather than continue there. I'd suggest a look at the International School.

What about the British school of Amsterdam ?

I've heard lots of good things about it- I have some friends who live in Ansterdam & they love the school.

Thanks for your posts.

That's not good news ThePost. Uptheanty thanks. Need school to be close to the Hague.

Have considered IB schools, including the Rijnlands, but DD (I think that's right, new to this!) better suited to head towards GCSE's. DH as well. Have place for DH in UK, but DH just to start senior school.

I don't want to comment on the specifics of my friends' experiences, however the general gist was that these parents had serious concerns about the quality of teaching, pastoral care and social aspects too. If you can go and have a look, do.

Hi ThePost,

Sure, can appreciate that you don't want to share the specifics.

I did manage to visit the school a few week's ago, but had difficulty getting a 'feel' for the atmosphere. We've had to choose schools on few occasions and any bit of information I could find helped to form an opinion and make a decision! :-)
