Does anyone know if when you list your 5 schools for transfer from primary to secondary , do the schools get to see or even take into account what primary school your coming from ?

It would only form part of the process if there were named feeder schools as one of the published criteria.

No - unless there is a definite feeder system as part of the published admissions criteria, they cannot take this into account and do not see what school the child is from.

The only other possible way it might be known or taken account of is if you are applying to a stringent faith school and have to fill in a supplementary information form that goes direct to the school. - some catholic secondaries give points for having attended a catholic primary, for example. Again, if this is a factor in the admission process it needs to be published as such.
