National Curriculum level 8 for trampolining?

Ds1 is in year 8 and in set 3 (bottom) for PE. He is truly rubbish at anything involving a ball but is fit and active, decent runner and swimmer IMO

This term he's been doing trampolining and apparently he's so good at it he's on target to get a level 8 Hmm "there's not even anyone in set 1 who's going to get level 8" He's chuffed to bits but to my shame I'm a bit sceptical. Is it even possible? If it is how good does that make him and should I be finding him a club?!

It won't be NC level 8 - that doesn't exist for specific sports! It's probably L8 of the gym awards which govern trampolining awards in the UK here: www.british-gymnastics.org/clubs/club-support/resources-awards

You are wrong titchy
My Dcs school has posters up in the PE dept with the criteria for each NC level in specific sports

These are the general PE levels:

I am sure I have seen a sport by sport brakdown before. Not sure if NC levels or something else - I will have a look.
