Kingston Grammar help

Would anyone be able to shed any light on the 11+ comprehension passage at Kingston Grammar this year? Do you know where the extract came from or who the characters were or what it is about? My daughter seems to have wiped the whole experience from her memory! Many thanks.

My DD took the KGS exam this year and couldn't remember anything either! I'm convinced that she was so nervous that she shut herself down and finished on autopilot to save herself the anguish of it all... What on earth are we doing to our DCs? Is anyone else not coping with the no knowing the results yet? I need more Wine!

I've just plied my DD with her favourite icecream and she has finally remembered the comprehension! I think the passage can be read here
