Good Secondary Schools in Hastings ?

My dd is currently in year 5 and will start Secondary in September 2015. Iwas wonder if anyone could recommend me a good school. The Rc school in Bexhill is out of the question as we are not Catholic and schools outside of Hastings are out of the question as we don't drive.
From what I have heard the secondary schools in Hastings are crap. Can anyone recommend me a better school out of a bad bunch?

Been out of the area a few years now but Claverham Community College in nearby Battle is very well regarded and Ofsted Outstanding. Oversubscribed and a bit of a journey away from Hastings proper though.
