Hello there, iv just signed up to net mums, im reading through a few threads and i cant seem to find the question i would like answered. I have been forced to move from a house to a flat, due to falling victim to the bedroom tax situation. This has then led me to take my children out of school, age 8 and age 9, I still havn't found a school suitable. My son has an experience of bullying in previous school, and the flats we have been moved to we are as a family experiencing ASB, threats, vandalism, stealing of my children's property. I have noticed over time my son has become very withdrawn! I feel at this moment i don't know where to start with this course i am about to take in home schooling, who to contact about taking children out of school, how to tackle the problem with my sons self esteem, build his confidence back and generally have faith in people of the same age, especially boys!! I also have the problem if i find a school and prepare my son to go back,(with confidence). That i have to move a gain to a 3 bedroom house when he is 10 years this August??? I don't know where to turn and feel that i'm feeling insecure about the whole situation .. Hope i get some help on Net Mums Please...

I think this should perhaps be in the Primary Education topic (with your other thread), or perhaps the Home Education topic (if you report your post to MNHQ and explain, they'll probably move it for you).

We're yo at the point of seeking a school transfer out of the original school anyhow, because of issues there? Or is that a school you hope to return them to once you have found a long-term place to live?

No i have took them out of the old school, as i am living here for a year but have to move again ...

Hello OP

I am confused with your post and not sure what you are asking tbh.
This is also mumsnet, not net mums.
You mention a course in home schooling, I haven't heard of one of these and they certainly aren't a requirement.
I am sorry that your son has become withdrawn and under the circumstances you state, it could be a good move for him.
If your children have already left school and you have moved areas you can either register with your local LEA and tell them you want to H.ed or you can stay under the radar so to speak and not inform anybody. There are rumoured to be many who take this option.
Visit the H.ed threads and read the posts and ask questions there, there are many experienced H.ed parents here.
