Hello there,
I really liked these two schools for my DD. Has anyone had to make the decission between them? Many thanks.

Francis Holland every time.

Girls can grow out of Queen's Gate quite quickly and the lack of outdoor space means LOTS of them give up sport very early. A limited school IME.

Francis Holland is more academic and offers a more competitive environment.

QG has always had, IMO, an image of being the last choice or for the weaker child. Livelier girls leave for more challenging/exciting schools.

Thank you Sundaedelight.
This is by far the worse time!

It is true that Francis Holland used to be considered slightly more academic, with two or three girls typically leaving for sixth form at Westminster, as well as St. Paul's and Goldolphin and Latymer occasionally. But I'm not sure that by Sixth form results at Queen's Gate and Francis Holland are that different, maybe due to some of the most academic girls switching. Recent leaver's destinations at Queen's Gate are listed on their website, and appear pretty good, although it is a small school. They are similar schools, so I'd go to whichever appeals to your daughter the most. Francis Holland does have an outdoor playground, but it is pretty small and I wouldn't describe most at the school as hugely sporty. They are both well positioned for Museum visits etc.
