does anyone know what schools to put down when going through 11+ appeal. Grammer schools or local catchment schools.

You cannot appeal to a school that you have not been refused by. So if you plan to launch a grammar appeal on the basis of non-qualification, at least one grammar much figure in your list.

However, non-qualification appeals are not easy to win (not impossible, not easy) and it's usually said that people focus too much on purportedly extenuating circumstances and not enough on academic evidence. So you should attempt to make a realistic assessment of the chances that you will win an appeal.
