Anyone have any recommendations for an online home schooling; KeyStage 3 - year 8 and 9? Ideas of costs. Year 8 dreadfully unhappy. Not sure if can perservere with school.

You could try Little Arthur, or NorthstarUK. You would need to find somewhere to take exams as an external candidate though. NEC (national extension college) worth a try too. All Have websites, so will hopefully give an idea of cost.

Consider iGCSEs as they are exam only. I am told getting coursework moderated can be difficult when an external candidate, which would affect standard GCSEs.

My son goes to interhigh. He started in year 7 and is now in year 8. I pay a bit over two grand a year. Changing over was very "hold nose and jump with trepidation", but even if we were to move back to the UK I'd keep him where he is. I'm really impressed with the turnaround they have helped him achieve academically and the pastoral side has been excellent.

There are others, academius (spelling ?) www.academus.org.uk , First College www.firstcollege.co.uk, seems to be a growing market.
