Urswick school, Hackney

Am I right in thinking that this feels like a school on the up? Anyone know anything about it (more than I can google myself)?

Used to be Hackney Free. Since re-vamped over the holidays. Nice new look to the school, same teachers different facade.

Oh yes, it's a new building/new name for this year, but I got the impression that it's a school that's already been improving massively, rather that a quick rebrand with the same not-so-good staff and pupils inside it (ie. the staff are already pretty good ones)?

It's pretty much the same from what I can tell. Tbh, it's a hard school to be in. Loads of problems not much money. Not an academy like petchy, mossbourne and skinners was always ok.

Head down to the Narrow Way at tipping out time and watch the kids roaming round. I might have hit a bad day, but not a great advert for the school imo! Mind you, could say the same for Petchy..
