Have you ever had a private tutor, or put your child through a revision course for thier exams?

Did they help?
Would you recommend them to others?

I'd say the two have different purposes and you need to look at the needs of your dc.

If your dc has problems with understanding some fundamental concepts of the subject, I'd recommend a private tutor who will sit down with your dc and break down the concepts and work on securing of basic understanding before even attempting to start revision.

If otoh your dc has a pretty good grasp of the subject, but just needs a bit of a refresher, a revision course might be better.

Hi Magrat, Has your child been on a revision course before?
If so, was it helpful?

I'll be honest, I run a tuition business, so I'm not entirely unbiased, but I would say, if your child has a good grasp of the subject, you probably don't need to invest in the one-to-one attention that would be necessary if your child struggles with fundamental understanding.
