Good to do what with?

Assuming plans after A levels are undecided, this looks like a good spread of subjects, with the options of both science or humanities at uni if that is what is wanted.

caroldecker · 14/10/2013 20:44

I think Chemistry is the preferred science for many courses (eg medicine etc)

antimatter · 14/10/2013 21:02

neither of those 4 is an essay based subject so I assume that student isn't interested in doing such type of degree

titchy · 14/10/2013 21:08

Economics is essay based!

AtiaoftheJulii · 14/10/2013 22:36

And Govt and Politics if that was chosen.

Looks ok, depending on what sort of thing might chime next.

apologies Blush it is indeed Smile

we've found useful advice here
look for chapter - The importance of making the right choices

I guess 6th form where your child is applying should have similar guidance

She is undecided on what she wants do do later in life so she picked subjects shes interested in. Shes predicted all A* in all subjects at GCSE.
I am wondering if it might be better to go the IB route instead of specializing so early. What do you think about IB over A levels?

I'd ditch photography unless its a possibility at university. Lack of Chem may be a little limiting if she goes down a science degree route. Would she consider Chem as the 4th? Then she's covered for either science or social science.

titchy · 15/10/2013 07:54

Yes IB may well be very useful actually, and she'd be able to do all those. I think she'd need english and a language as well?
