Secondary transfer assessment/test dates - missed date!!!

As the subject suggests we missed a test date for a secondary school application due to unforeseen circumstances. Very anxious and frustrated by this and will contact school ofcourse but wondering if anyone had a similar experience and knows whether theres opportunities to take test again?? The deadline for applications is still a few weeks away

Was iot a borough wide banding test? Or specific to the school? Or a 'selective' test?

What were the circumstances? What sort ofn school? Does the admissions policy tell you anyhting about missed test dates? There must always be ill children etc.

I guess it will be down to the school or the LA depending on the type of test and type of school.

Thanks for the response. luckily received a response back today to let us know that there's a second opportunity to take test which is great news!
