What does AO2, AO3 MATHS mean?

My son got these works from school. I know he is doing maths works years ahead of his age, but what does these AO2,AO3 mean?

AO followed by a number 2 or 3 is Assessment Objective, it's levels for GCSE maths used by the exam boards. Hope that helps
