Any views? Is it worth moving into the tiny catchment?is it better than compton or friern barnet school?

It's very well regarded in the area. It's a new school so the first set of GCSE results have come out this year which have put it on a par with Mill Hill County High. It's definitely better than Friern Barnet, which although is "outstanding" does not have such great exam results. Most parents I know would choose Wren over Compton, although Compton is well regarded also. Wren is not selective although it is COE so extra points are given to church goers. It's catchment area is tiny and decreases each year as more siblings get places. If you choose to move for it, move virtually on top of it!

I've posted on here before how much I like Wren. I cannot compare with the other schools as I do not have experience of them, but I agree with daisy i think the catchment will be tiny especially as the first gcse results have been excellent. It is a CofE school so being a church goer is the (correct) best way to get a place. 6th form just opened and looks very promising also. I know many families who have been disappointed to not get a place over the last few years so I would recommend a back-up plan.
