What to ask at parents evening? ( new to this secondary school stuff!)

That's it really, no idea if it is that different to a primary school pare to evening.

It's to meet ds's tutor and which ever of his teachers we want, it's more of a meet n great and chance to chat, after all he's only been there a few weeks.

I think I'm having high school anxiety of my own school days, give me a heads up please! Grin

You'll probably only get 5 mins with each teacher, so unless you have a specific question, just listen.

We are having a yr 7 meet the tutor evening and we give them details of new assessment data (CATs etc) and say how they are settling in. Only 5 mins I think so not much time for questions but I guess if you had any concerns then raise them then?

The website www.how-to-choose-a-school.org/open-evenings-and-school-visits.html has a section just on this - with top questions to ask and then suggestions for more detailed questions, depending on your child.
