Secondary schools in Barnet

Does anyone know whether there is much difference between Mill hill County High School and Ashmole Academy?
We are looking at both as my child has done well in the test for MHCHS and the audition for Ashmole, although we won't know for sure until offer day. Both seems good options, although Ashmole is outstanding and Mill Hill is only good. Both are tricky to get to by bus. Anyone got any views?

Are you close enough to Mill Hill? The two schools are quite a distance apart. The catchment for Mill Hill is quite small.

We are just outside the Mill Hill catchment but my daughter should be offered an academic place. We don't know for sure but she has done well enough when compared to previous years.

Ashmole does have a brilliant reputation in the area. Don't know too much about Mill Hill but would have thought it was slightly less revered

Interesting that you say that. We leave closer to Mill Hill and it has a great reputation in our area. I am finding it harder to gauge Ashmole as we are further from it and I do not know any families who send their children there.
