What does an exam co-ordinator do?

Apart from the obvious which is co ordinate gcse entries.

Why would they have any involvement with year 7s? And why would they request a meeting with the parent if a new year 7?

Slightly worried that there is a problem with dds cat tests.

I would check that they haven't mixed up your child with one in Y10 or 11 with a similar name!
Results and problems with an individual child's test results would usually be dealt with by a teacher.

Defiantly not as its a tiny school & dh works there in a different capacity.

They apply for exam access arrangements for pupils with Special needs.

Different. Small school so multiple roles.
