I'm missing my dd already....

I havent even dropped her off yet....

I know pastoral care is good but still feeling that unhappy feeling....

how do you cope with it...

Mine starts Tuesday but I'm in hospital from tomorrow morni g so won't see her till tues night.
I feel sad today.
I've had 3 others go and they loved it. They don't change overnight and she is still your little girl.

I so hate it when they go back to school. I always make sure I have something planned the first couple of mornings like a trip into town, friend for coffee and catching up on jobs I didn't do in the holidays - I've got exciting gardening and painting a rusty radiator to do, but better than being at a loose end. Luckily I work at lunchtime so that gets me back into routine.

It never gets better, my baby, DD2 is off to uni at the end of the month, DD1 has already there and DS goes the day before DD2. It will be just me and the dog for the first time. Dreading it.

Oh Ilovegeorgeclooney, good luck! DS was off for the first time 4 years ago and DD 2 years ago. DS is back living at home to save costs while he has another year of med school. DD is off again in 3 weeks and I'm dreading it. Are you a single mum too?
I really really miss DD when she goes off each term, we are very close and now she is 20 we get on very well. I will miss everything from going shopping to us sitting on the sofa with a cup in front of X factor. She is off with friends on holiday at the moment so I am thinking of it as a warm up before she goes for the term. Expecting this year to fly by though as it is her final one. Dreading next year when she is planning to move to London as she has a job there. They really are still your babies even at this age aren't they!!

I know we are lucky DC are off doing these exciting things and living independently, but it is all so mixed emotions.
