Name labels?

Since I cant sew for toffee, all DS1's name labels have been stick-in BUT, now he's going to secondary school, a couple of mums in the know have said they have to be sew-on.

Can anyone confirm or ideally deny! this please?

As long as the item is clearly labelled I honestly don't think it matters whether it is sew-on or stick-on. The trouble with stick-on is they do peel off after a few washes.

You could buy a laundry pen and write DS's name on.

We got some iron on woven labels which seem to be OK so far...

I have virtually sewn in my life's limit of name tapes.

I now only sew on the giant ones required for the outside of PE kit/lab coat/apron/art overall.

The rest, I have very good iron-on labels and stickers.

I need to psyche myself up to do these next week - the last lot of bulk name-taping :)
