Looking for some school trousers for a very slim and tall boy!

My son is 11 but tall for his age and also very slim.

I think he would probably be age 12 but the waist is going to be huge, even with an adjustable waist trousers can look all bunched up.

Anyone know where to shop?

Thank you

M&S do very good school trousers in longer length, and they have the adjustable waistband. My DS has a similar shape and they fit him perfectly.

ds is the same and I do buy his from Next. He has them on the tightest waist and they don't look bunchy.

Second m&s for their long length trees. You can order online & have them delivered to a local m&s food shop for free.

Next do a slim fit in their school trousers but only available online.
My DS is 12 average height with an age 7-8 waist I have always bought his trousers from next as the slim fit are the only ones that don't look like he is wearing his dads trousers all bunched up!

I would second those saying Next - my son (now 17) is a beanpole and I always avoided M & S because the adjustable thing always looks bunched up. I also found BHS good when he was younger.

Next have slim fitting ones and also in the adult range if he's really tall or for when he goes to secondary school.

Next do some of their styles in slim fit. The jean style trousers are particularly good for skinny bottoms.

BHS long length.

BHS works on a slimmer 'general shape' than M&S tends to, and with the longer length it is possible to go for age 11 - or even 10 - and then go for the long length. Suited DS (a beanpole) brilliantly last year. Sadly his school has now gone for a single supplier approach this year and there are no longer length trousers available in small waist sizes.....grrrrr.....

I have exactly the same problem with DS2 John Lewis we've found are perfect you need to buy the ones with wool in.

We used to have Next slim fit ones but ds is really too skinny even for them and past about age 11 the legs get a bit flappy.

We discovered M and S extra, extra long (def only available online) and they're really good, slimmer than the Next ones. Ds is coming up for 13 and exactly average height but a tiny waist and bum and this year I will buy him age 11 extra, extra long!

Also had some previous success with some from our local market (I think the stock was so old it was from the days when everyone was really slim!)
