Sports bags?

PFB is starting secondary school in September and needs a suitable bag for her sports kit. She'll be travelling by bus so doesn't want anything too heavy.

The only information i've been given by the school is that it must be 'an appropiate size to fit the locker provided'. No clues on the locker size though

Do i just send her with a rucksac for the first couple of weeks and get her to check out the other children's bag?

My two use draw string bags, sometimes from sports shops, often from the hand bag and purse stall in the market.

She has all sorts often cheaper and bigger than the sport shop, but you have to ask they aren't always out.

DD2 also just takes carriers, which annoys me due to the risk of socks and trainers falling out, especially on the bus.

Mine use drawstring bags - like we used to call 'pump bags' but that seem to have become fashion items over the last 3 or 4 years.
