Equipment for GCSE Art

wanto get it over summer break, school failed to provide info despite being asked numerous times!

What do you mean by equipment? It's hard to know what they'll need until they need it, if that makes sense. Though I'd have thought, as a basis, a reasonably decent set of sketching pencils would be a good start, and maybe some watercolours. Perhaps hold off sketchbooks etc as they might be provided.

I would think you will be best spending time visiting free exhibitions and gaining inspiration rather than worrying about materials. Save some money towards them over the summer but most things can be bought pretty quickly now, over the net if necessary, and often the school have access to stuff which - if needed - can save you a lot.
