DS wants to do this independently.His school do OCR maths and further maths GCSE. Has anybody else's dc done this qualification

Yes, my DD did it last year in year 11. It is OCR so his GCSE should give him a good background in it. I am presuming your school don't offer it, hence he wants to do it independently. DD had to do it pretty much independently too as the lessons given were at lunchtimes and this clashed with other commitments, so I think in total she probably only had 3 or 4 lessons in total. She worked through past papers and built up her technique from those.
