Sibling policy in selective schools

Does anyone know if Hampton School have a policy to admit younger siblings of boys already at the school,or is each child judged individually?

I know a family with two boys at Hampton, whose third son didn't get in. Like most selective schools, they don't have a publicly stated policy and competition is immense (490+ boys generally sit entrance exams for approx 120 Year 7 places). my friends were bitterly disappointed, but have since realised that their third son wasn't cut out for Hampton and he is doing brilliantly elsewhere.

Thanks for that Sijeunessesavait. We are new to the area,my older son has just got palace there and I would like his younger brother to eventually be in the same place,but we'll have to see. May I ask where your friends sent their third son? It's good to hear parents opinions on schools.

Congratulations to your son (and you) on getting a place. It's a fantastic school - my son is in the 4th year. PM me if you have any questions not already answered by the school (I doubt there are any!). My friends' third son is thriving at Halliford. There are lots of really good schools in the area, so don't worry too much!

That's interesting as our headmaster recommended Halliford as a backup choice.He says its really up and coming. I am going to have a look at it after the summer. Any other recommendations....when you say there are lots of good ones in the area?
I am trying not to worry too much,but we all do at this stage I think!! More than the kids that's for sure!! Luckily!
