I know many of you who use these websites are teachers and parents of school age children so I am hoping this is. A good forum to ask.

Do you (if you are a teacher) or your DCs use any technology in school that is amazing? I mean really worth investing in. Apart from laptops, a projector, interactive whiteboards, iPads and digital cameras, that is.

I have been asked to help form a development plan for a school and I was wondering what technology would be a good use of funds.

I am rather cynical about technology but that's probably because I am getting on a bit Wink

A visualiser is a great addition to any classroom with a projector. You can get really cheap ones from TTS (easiview) that do the job of being able to share work easily.

I work in IT, and am also a parent, and the Raspberry Pi is worth looking at:

Also looking at providing education for teachers in the use of Open Source technology - such as Linux, and education in teaching programming skills.
