my daughters have been offered places in senior old palace whitgift year 7 and junior old palace year 1 for September my middle one has special needs issues we were thinking of moving to sanderstead during summer any idea if it will be a good decision to move to sanderstead and put the middle one in a state school does Croydon schools have good senco provisions if we move now all the state schools will be full I don't want her to end up in purley oaks shall I home tutor her for a year and then apply for her in state schools sep 2014. can any body advice?

how old is your "middle " one ? In most areas you only apply at reception or year 7 , occasionally Year 3 if it is an infant/junior system, otherwise it is wherever has a place at the time, so it may not help to wait . Does your middle dd have a statement ? All state schools have a SENCO so once you know which schools are an option/s you could call and discuss her needs.

It might be worth putting this question on Mumsnet Croydon talk so spoke local bods can answer.
