GCSE exam certificates

On the actual GCSE certificate, does it have any details of the modules taken, passed and the marks?

Just wondering cos ds1 is taking them all in the 'traditional way' - ie all at the end, no opportunity for resits.

But at the local school they do endless re-sit opportunities. And if a child gets an A and wants to re-sit for an A*, they can do.

No. Just grades

The actual certificate shows final grades although there is a slip that shows modules. Pupils cannot retake exams anymore ( they can recertificate which is more or less doing the whole thing again) so I think the information you are getting is a little flawed- this has been the case since I think it was last year (there is the odd exception). From next year everything will be terminal.

Current yr11s can certainly have two attempts at modules (Maths, English, Science).

Bit it is different for current yr10s.
