I've been waiting for someone to start this (was on the 2012 thread last year and am unlucky enough to have dc 18 months apart in consecutive school years!) Please join me to support and share the angst with only four weeks to go now to the first written exam.

Not sure what you meant webwiz re the 7s for OCR sciences. DDs only goes up to 6, but Im fairly sure its B syllabus.

Bit if a panic mode yesterday - 6 hour revision in school plus studying till 11 last night.
Geography today, shorter case study paper not great, longer paper OKish.

Chemistry tomorrow, then only Physics to go next week.

circular · 12/06/2013 18:37

Meant to say also, well done to Corys DD

RussiansOnTheSpree · 12/06/2013 18:37

DD1 said geography was 'fine'. I checked and it was regular fine, not timelord fine. Just 3 exams to go now. All maths.

webwiz · 12/06/2013 19:00

DS does the A syllabus circular so its Physics 4,5 and 6 tomorrow and then the C7, B7 and P7 papers next week and the week after to complete each science.

sisterhood · 12/06/2013 19:12

6 left here as well and the strain is really starting to show....lots of door slamming and general sulking! Cant wait for next Thursday! Wine Wine

circular · 13/06/2013 18:27

Chemistry today, not good. Keeping fingers crossed overall grade not affected too much, as high CA and did well in C1/2/3 last year.

Just Physics left on Tuesday now, then the waiting game.

webwiz that's a very late finish for your DS

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 13/06/2013 18:39

Physics ok today, and dd according to dd 'totally bossed' the maths revision session, so is feeling good about maths tomorrow and next week. Just that and crickle finking to go and we're done! Grin

webwiz · 13/06/2013 20:16

I'm not sure how Physics went as DS just made a noise when I asked about it. Maths tomorrow and I think they will finally be on study leave then (they don't confirm the exact leaving day thanks to the antics of a rather spirited year group several years ago).

Yes circular these stupid things are going on forever and DS is getting steadily more cheesed off. The end is in sight now though.

JWIM · 13/06/2013 20:27

Good luck to all DC sitting Maths Friday AM. DD had revision lessons in school today then some revision at home this evening. I know she has revised as otherwise we would be seeing lots of emotional outbursts because she is worried. We have said we know she will do her best as Maths is no longer a strong subject for her. More Maths next week (Monday and Thursday) and Geography on Tuesday.

creamteas · 13/06/2013 21:05

DD also has Maths tomorrow, which is the last one :)

So glad it us nearly over, and I'll be thinking of everyone next week.

MrsBartlet · 13/06/2013 21:33

Maths and Latin for DD tomorrow. Lots of her friends finish tomorrow but she still has one more Latin paper to go next Wednesday and then it will be over.

This morning we worked out that she has been revising for 11 weeks, fairly solidly with only a couple of days off. Can't wait for it to be over and for her to have some time to do whatever she wants to do!

soda1234 · 13/06/2013 21:55

DS had Physics today and has now finished!!! His (twin)sister just has maths tomorrow and then she is finished too, looking forward to a very relaxed weekend here.

prettydaisies · 13/06/2013 22:09

Biology and Classics done today. They were 'ok', but classics was quite hard.
He's doing quadruple sleep tomorrow apparently!
Now just history and classics next week. Nearly there.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 14/06/2013 11:12

dd home from Maths and seems happy about it - it was good 'because there were no stupid questions about cones and spheres', to which shapes it turns out she has a strong aversion Confused. Nothing now until Maths x2 and critical thinking next week: taking her to IKEA with me now, and she has a party tonight, which she thoroughly deserves. Let's crack open the celebratory lingonberries Grin

cory · 14/06/2013 12:38

dd home from last maths- so proud!

no idea if she's passed, but in our case that wasn't the real test- she went in and she sat through it though she says she was shaking so badly things kept falling off her desk

very happy now!

Bati · 14/06/2013 12:48

I am concerned over ds maths this morning. He had pains in his stomach before he left this morning and apparently during his exam it got worse and started to feel sick with it
He put his hand up and informed them. He ended up with diarrhoea and needed to go the toilet twice.
He thinks the exam went well, but I am worried being ill will have had an effect on his performance
He wants to do maths and further maths at A level so is hoping to get an A or A* Sad

boschy · 14/06/2013 13:20

no word from DD1, but she has gone into town with a friend so they can be 'ladies wot lunch'. they took spare clothes so they didnt have to wear uniform!

Main excitement this morning: omigod I'll never have to wear this shirt again Grin I suppose at some stage I might hear how the exam actually went...

has she finished cory? I agree about cones and spheres TOSN they are just SILLY. hope your boy is ok bati

RussiansOnTheSpree · 14/06/2013 13:23

DD1 said it was 'good'. I haven't been able to get any further elucidation though.

Casey · 14/06/2013 15:36

Grin Hallelujah: they are finished. Final Maths exam today went well apparently.

A week off now, then Sixth Form Induction week!

The minor matter of moving house (300 miles) between now and then.

JWIM · 14/06/2013 16:46

DD not happy with her Maths this am. Lots on shapes - not her forte. So we are looking forward and what will be will be.

cory · 14/06/2013 17:40

Yup, finished, boschy. Unless she failed, in which case she will have to retake it as a fifth subject in college.

Hope your dd enjoyed her lunch.

MrsBartlet · 14/06/2013 19:40

JWIM - dd and her friends all found maths difficult today. Oh well- only 1 more to go.

QueenQueenie · 14/06/2013 19:49

Yay! Ds had his last exam yesterday (IGCSE biology 2). Dh and I took him out for an amazing celebratory lunch today. Just the results now!

Almost there.
Tried to persuade DD last night to do the last bits of ICT course work before the day it is due (Monday). So, I've heard everything. And "I have everything planned", and "Am I doing that for you?", and "I am busy at the moment" (doing nothing), and "Do not try to guilt trip me!", and "Piss off!". Ooooh, she is so sweet, my little (2 sizes larger than me) fledgling.
