Moulsham High School, Chelmsford

DS in Y5 and we are considering Moulsham High School as an option for Y7.

I know that they teach in single sex classes, although it's a mixed school. Does anyone have any first hand advice or info about how this has worked out for your child/ren at this school.

I can see lots of pros and cons to the idea, but it's always useful to have real life opinions and views.

Mine are in a school with similar arrangement. They cope fine with it - the only downside is that since I have 3 boys so they don't have a way of making friends with girls in a natural way as they might in shared sex classrooms which I think is a shame - although they mix on school trips and would mix if mine were into drama.
