Advice?

I don't often post on here as generally don't seem to have many concerns but tonight's found a story in my daughters school book that she has written, and reading it is so so sad.....it's all about a little girl that is following her and is with her everywhere she goes, and she is telling her to do horrible things, kill herself and that she is useless and that nobody loves her, not even her real M&D,
My dd is 12 and has been under Camhs in the past but they have finished seeing her about 2 years ago. She is under a Paed and I'm wondering where to go with this.....I've spoken to dd and she said its just a story and she thinks it's a funny one....I said I found it very sad! Sould I be speaking to school to make them aware ?

I'm feeling so low tonight anyway and now to find this......

I don't know what to advise, but wanted to post so you know that this has been read and that I'm thinking of you.

I would have a quiet word with her form tutor about this, but don't tell your DD she would be mortified.

With her background especially, the story does seem to be expressing negative feelings that she may need help dealing with.

Are you able to have a chat with her Paed without your DD being present? might be a good idea to keep them up to speed as well.

You are clearly a very caring Mum and I am sure your DD will come through all this fine with you behind her. for you.

I don't have any advice really, I was just wondering whether you think it likely that your daughter deliberately left the story in a place she thought you would be likely to find it?

I think it's quite 'healthy' to be able to write this sort of thing down, but I can see it is hard to talk about it with your daughter after the initial differences in the way that you see the story. I might want to ask about what your daughter imagined would happen next, possible endings. How did the heroine deal with the girl who said negative things...?
