year 7 French help/aids please

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with these. DS1 is doing ok on "basic " words and gender...gramer is coming along...but both of us need a bit of help(to put it mildly!!) with the accent and speaking it!!

I include myself in this as well as he had a verbal test today with prepared questions that I asked him and he answered....trouble is I spoke/speak Italian(lived there for 5 years many moons ago but can't loose the accent whenever I want to speak french and I am getting the accent muddled up !!??)

He is happy to have a DS game sort of thing so it is more fun than extra "work"
and he can practise in private which I thing is good for a bit "feel a bit silly speaking in French "boy !

I HATED MFL at school but while in Italy speaking and teaching in it everyday
I found it easy to pick up ....and my cotton wool brain could do with some stimulation !!....might be fun if we did something together .

Anyone got any ideas of what i might be looking for

Lots of schools use Vocab Express and the kids get a free log on. I'm sure you could subscribe to it if school don't.

Thanks ..I will ask him when he gets home ........In fact no I won't ....I will check through his sribbled notes at the back of his school diary and see if he has this web site and pass word !!!...if he was given it in the first few weeks of starting ...well that will be a distant memory now !!!

My daughters teach emails it to them every half term as they all seem to 'forget' it !
