how much notice by law do you have to give to a boarding house that the council is closing down

Is this Kings School, Winchester? If so I believe any existing boarders can remain until they finish Yr 11. So I guess whatever standard notice period you have to give as per your agreement.

There was a formal consultation in the spring. It doesn't strike me as having been badly done, to be honest. Did your DS get in? I remember replying to an earlier thread of yours I think.

Kings is excellent - I doubt academic standards would be affected by the closure of the boarding house.

how many kids board, how many kids are day?
that will show the percentage impact on the school of the boarding kids finding other options bit by bit.
