When do your Yr13s actually finish school?

DS has his A2s in, I think, May/June of 2013. I was just wondering when your dcs will/did have their last lessons, and start their study leave? My friend says they don't go back after the Easter holidays, but as that starts in late March it doesn't seem to give them much time, esp. as DS only seems to have one or two lessons a day!

TIA

Is it on the school calendar? At my DCs school study leave will start sometime in May but only just before the first A2 exams.

Thanks Webwiz. Nope, not on the school calendar, but May does sound a lot more sensible than end of March!

Unlikely to be March, but then again, they won't be actually learning much new after Easter so it's not impossible.

Our school probably won't start study leave until the May half term which is later than most (some exams will already have started!) as they know from past experience what boys can be like if left to their own devices.

My DD starts her study leave for A2s on 25th May- although she has some AS module resits in May for which she is allowed the afternoon off before morning exam or morning off before afternoon exam.

ours will get study leave from may half term, the A2 exams are not normally prior to that. There will be teaching in some subjects in the early part of the sumer term - no-one wants to spend half a term revising!

Brilliant, thanks everyone Smile
