My DD has been predicted a level 8 for the end of year 9. if she stays on track what does this mean in terms of GCSE levels.

she has always been quite lazy and has been told not to rush her homework. she enjoys what she calls, 'real maths', mental arithmatic and number work. As soon as she sees Geometry, graphs etc she is quite put off the subject.

There is less number work as you go up through the stages in Maths, there will be more algebra etc rather than pure number work in GCSE.

She should though be aiming for an A or A*
