DD is doing GCSE Geography over 2 years (last year - yr9 & this year - yr10)

We have been given a 'results sheet' with:
Board: OCR
Opt: B561H
Option: Geog B: Sustainabl Decision MKNG HGH
Qual: GCSE
Level: B
Result: b

Is this a part qualification? Or something else?

I may not be any help as DD did GCSE Geog last year. But her sustainable decision making exam made up a percentage of her overall grade - 30%, perhaps. She then did coursework (controlled assessment), which was 15% (for example - I can't remember the exact figures), and then an exam, which was the bulk of the qualification.

All these parts added up to a qualification.

That B your dd has achieved (and well done her!) is not a "part-qualification" in that it cannot be used on its own, unlike half-GCSEs.

But then the course may have changed since last year.
