11 plus maths revision help

Dd will be sitting the 11 plus in September she has no issues with the VR or NVR but is a bit week on maths. She does see a tutor who helps with this. However it would appear that she often forgets the methods she has been taught so that her lesson is often going over and reminding her of things she should know. Im wondering if there is any way I can help her to revise the maths over the holidays. Perhaps a test that goes over all the questions that she could do each day? Or something online?

Gah this is hard I want her to have a relaxing summer but at the same time she really wants to get into the local grammar.

Have a look at the elevenplusexams website, they have a shop with booklets or downloadable tests that you can get in all the 11+ test types. I'm currently last minute hot housing my DS3 in VR from the Tutors downloads and will get some paper tests for the last couple of weeks.

Have you asked the tutor to give you extra work she can use for practice.

Go on the Bond Online website (sorry, can't do links on my phone) and you can sign up to use their online materials for maths as well as English, VR and non-VR (if she has to do that too). You can then use these in short bursts to reinforce her tutoring or give her full practice papers.

Also a good idea to get some hard copy practice papers (also available from Bond or Amazon) so she get used to the format of the answer sheet. I am doing this with DS this summer.

I would find out from the grammar or a parent who knows, which practice tests are best for that entrance exam as Bond is the main one but there are others and you want to ensure she is practising questions similar to what she will get in the exam.
