My amazing brainy clever 16yr old DS somehow "forgot" at the end of term to make arrangements to collect his GCSE results as we will be away Blush LOL

Not quite sure what to do. We are now home for 1 week before being away again for a while, incl results day!

I guess he/we (Ok we !) need to hope someone is in at school next week and arrange to get them posted to a grandparent to read to him (I assume they wont give them by phone?).

Or maybe we could delegate an adult friend (his godfather is his music teacher LOL) to do it for him- mind you this chap isn't the most organized either....

Or just think stuff it till he gets back! I'm tempted by that option.....

His 6th form place isn't /shouldn't be in the balance at all as he only needs a C in english/maths to stay in the school. Actually not knowing mewans we can't be worrying about long term options if not enough *'s etc so maybe that's good..

What would you do/suggest please?

He needs to write a letter and sign it giving sobeone else permission to collect his results on the day. The named person should then take that letter on the day.

I would look on the school website for advice because all schools have their own system.

I had to phone up from France for my GCSE results, pre-arranged with school. Was a bad line and I got cut off in between every single result and had to phone back. Was quite annoying as I had the same grade for every single one - why didn't the deputy head just say 'You got 'X' for every subject'?!
