Thinking of moving to Frome and really need advice on good middle schools!

Hello, I'm moving back to UK after many years of living abroad with my 11 year old daughter and desperately seeking advice! Have looked at lots of different areas around UK but Frome has come highly recommended by friends who grew up here, but they are not "in the know" anymore to recommend good middle schools, any suggestions?

There are only 2 middle schools that serve Frome, Selwood and Oakfield. Selwood has a religious foundation, Oakfield. Both are decent schools, however IMHO if you are looking at a middle school (which are fab by the way!) then consder moving to the Wedmore/Cheddar Valley area (also in Somerset), look at Hugh Sexey C of E Middle or Fairlands, both of which are excellent schools (I worked at one for 7 years, but was involved with both schools) and Kings of Wessex, the senior school is another great school - better than what Frome feeds into anyway, probably because Frome has a slightly rougher edge to it than the Cheddar Valley.
