mill hill county school advice please

just heard my ds has got through the first aptitude test (just!). now apparently there are two more tests but i cant seem to find any details of what these are. i think the scores are combined with the first test, so the fact he just scraped through means i guess he is unlikely to get a place? i havent had a chance to look round the school yet - open day is in sept. does anyone have any experience of it, particularly any advice about the no going through to the next stage, and what it involves, thanks

The school's website says "8th September 2012 - 2nd Aptitude Test " - it also says "All applicants seeking a place on the basis of technological aptitude must previously have sat our test on General Reasoning and been recalled for two further tests. The score in the General Reasoning Test will be added to the higher score attained in the other two: no minimum score will be required, places being offered strictly in descending order of each applicant?s combined score."

This suggests that there are 2 further tests but both on the same day, but as they are in early September you should know the final scores before you need to fill in the application forms.

As there is no minimum score your ds can't have 'scraped through' though compared to those who got in in previous years his score may be low.
