Hello
Can anyone suggest a good school. My sons strengths are his social skills, he is creative and enjoys music and has a good imagination. He's likes sport but he's not 'driven' and hes good with words but not very academic. I think he might pass 11+ but it would need some pushing! I'm not sure thats a good idea.
Its just him and me so being in a strong community (both in and out of school) would be ideal. We can move easily, its just knowing where to go. We are in the home counties at present so that makes sense not to stray too far north. Thanks

Look for a good Comp. There are lots of those in that area.
Do you have strong views on schools being 11-18 or are you happy with 11-16? If the former than avoid Hampshire and Waverley area of Surrey.

Kings in Winchester 11-16 then move onto Peter Symonds College for 6th form

Perins in Alresford (8 miles from Winchester) and then Peter Symonds for 6th Form. Actually, all the Winchester secondary schools are good and PSC is one of the best sixth form colleges in the country. Can't go far wrong really!

Bohunt was the one that whats her name the daily fail journalist missed out on.
Wavell
Petersfield
Kings
Westgate
Thornden
any of them really -Hampshire's comps have been some of the best
my only caveat is that academy status is eroding SMT focus at some of them ....
