Levels in year 7

My son is in year 7 and has been getting level 6B in science and maths for a couple of terms.
Does anyone know if there are any statistics for levels in each year group as i can only find levels for the end of each key stage.

My dd is Y7 too. In the Parent's handbook it says that dcs are expected to make 1.5 sub-levels of progress each year at KS3 from their levels at the end of KS2. So they may make 1 sub-level or 2 sub-levels and still be within their targets. Targets for each year are set using the data from KS2.
National average for end of KS2 is 4b so 1 or 2sub-levels would be 4a/5c at the end of Y7 for the average dc. So a 6b is definitely very good for Y7.
