Missing Name Off GCSE Exam List

I am after some help - I am not sure what to do and of course the school is closed now. My daughter went to school today to resit a history GCSE module but when she got into the examination room her name was not on the list. She was however allowed to sit the exam. I cannot get hold of anyone to ask if she has been entered, but in case she hasn't is there anything that can be done about it?

If she has sat the paper she will be fine. I am not sure what the exams officers do but we had an extra candidate arrive for an exam yesterday and they sat the paper.

Don't worry it is fine and not that unusual

If she was missed off the entries they will enter her as a late entrant. However, if the entry was on her exam timetable then she was probably entered anyway and there 's just an admin error somewhere. The school pays either twice or 3x the cost for a late entry but they will bear the cost.

All in all, don't worry as it won't affect your DD.

The above answers are right. AN damn error and the school might have to pay £30 or so, but your DD won't suffer!

admin error
Damn that autocorrect!

Thank you all! Bombastic, I liked your first description :D

Late entries do not always appear on the exam register. For extra candidates their name and candidate number will be added to the register by the exams officer and the paper will be marked with all the others for that centre.

Don't worry. I have just marked AS papers and there were several exam lists with an extra student penciled onto the end. The examiner just adds their name and mark manually to the mark sheet when they submit it.
