Parmiter's School Watford ...bond tests

Hello, its probably rather a long shot, but does anybody out there know what sort of pass rate of a Bond test is the equivalent to a score sufficient to getting into Parmiters?
I'm wondering if my daughter stands a chance?!

There's no direct equivalent. and you're better off doing Athey tests for VR and Letts/GL assessment for Maths rather than Bond as it's closer to the real tests.

You'd want your dc to be scoring 90% plus in both to get a place - preferably more ideally.

Speed is v important in the VR test - 100 questions in 45 mins - and accuracy in the maths.

wow, ok she is currently getting about 85% on the bonds. oh dear, probably wont get in then , very disheartening, but facts are facts!
interesting what you say about the tests because on the parmiters website it said bond for the VR.
Thanks for your advise breadand butter.

Don't be put off - that's my guesswork - it may well be lower, but better to aim higher. You only get standardised scores so hard to translate into 'real' scores - and the tests aren't iodentical anyway. It also depends on age - if your dc is a summer baby they'll need a lower score to get in.

My dd got into Watford Grammar (same test) - don't know what score she got because they don't give out scores (unless you fail) but in practice she was regularly scoring in the 90s for VR and 80s-90s for maths. But she could have been top I suppose (highly unlikely! ) )

But better too aim higher and get in with room to spare... By comparison, a friend's dd I know was getting scores in the 70s and she was 300 and somethingth in the Parmiter's exam. So maybe 85 plus would be fine!!!

Should clarify - her scores in the 70s were in praxtice exams not the real thing. She didn't get in but is loving her comp and is in top sets and G&T for everything - so your dc sounds like they are doing v well!
