My Y5 DD is fairly bright but unfocused. We are currently prepping for 11+ and generally beefing up her skills in readiness for secondary school. We live in Greenwich and the secondary schools are pretty dire and so we are ?considering our options?.
Option 1 - move out...
Option 2 - 11+ for Bexley/Kent but I have doubts about her ability to pass due to her dreamy approach but think it is worth trying as I she is capable. She is also keen to have a go.
Option 3 - go private. We are currently considering (and saving funds for) Blackheath High, Colfes, St Dunstans, Sydenham High and Farringtons. Just wondering if anyone had any recent feedback on gaining entry to the above schools i.e. how tricky are the exams, how oversubscribed are the schools etc etc.
